Our Northwest Houston, TX client is seeking a Sales Engineer to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is an opportunity to join an established team that provides plenty of freedom in addition to hands-on work in the field including investigations, standardization of best practices, failure analysis and much more. The ideal candidate has an Engineering degree, 5+ years of drilling/completions experience, and a strong QA/QC background.
Primary Responsibilities:
Enhance performance of both Rental and Tubular businesses with improved operational and R&M practices
Make decisions in purchasing and CAPEX
Plan for a build engineering department from the ground up
Incident/failure analysis and associated reporting
Contribute tool application evaluation.
Enhance customer proposals, particularly for offshore rentals, with higher technology completion equipment and services
Interface with sales and operations to generally enhance level of customer technical service
Provide technical expertise to sales team and customer base
Qualifications:
Engineering degree required
Experience building and engineering team from the ground up
5+ years of experience in drilling/completions
Must be capable of designing drill work strings, completions work strings and offshore work strings
Must be well versed in wear patterns on tubulars
Strong background in operations and downhole tools
Well planning experience
Good presentation skills
Understanding of drill string dynamics
