Our Houston, TX client, located in the Energy Corridor, is in need of a Measurement Analyst for a Direct Hire opportunity.

Job summary:
The Sr. Measurement Analyst responsibilities are to collect, process, and distribute measurement data in a timely, accurate and cost effective manner.  This analyst ensures the accuracy of gas and liquid measurement at our plants and gathering facilities.  The data is maintained in PGAS but requires active involvement with other systems capturing real time data flows.  Reporting duties include volume and analysis statements, system balances, trending, and other management needs.  This position also interacts with field personnel and supports plant accounting, scheduling, and commercial departments.

Summary of essential job functions:
Identify and collect measurement data for daily and monthly reporting needs.
Process, analyze and edit  electronic gas measurement data into PGAS system.
Gather, record and audit the accuracy of third party information.
Coordinate and update samples and station changes in multiple systems.
Handle new setups or changes to existing setups.
Stay current with schematics including verification at actual meter locations.
Maintain system archives and supporting documents.
Improve alarm criteria and setups in systems.
Develop and issue reports and exports and improve automations.
Identify opportunities and investigate issues in processes, setups, and results.
Maintain customer relations with third parties.
Test system updates and actively participate in user forums.
Process adjustments and reissue volume statements, etc. as needed.

Other Skills and Abilities:
Intermediate knowledge of Gas and NGL Measurement
Intermediate knowledge of gas accounting, balancing and auditing practices
Experience with volume systems (e.g. PGAS, Flowcal) or allocation systems (e.g. Waterfield, TIPS)

Minimum requirements:
Accounting or business degree preferred
Five years energy experience, preferably gas plant and/or volume accounting
Strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills, organization, and documentation skills needed
Advanced Excel skills including query, pivot tables
Experience with report development, a plus
