Our client in Dallas, TX is looking for a Senior SEC Reporting Accountant.  The selected candidate will have the following skill set:

Job Description:
The Senior SEC Reporting Accountant works closely with Financial and Accounting staff, Audit, Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, and other corporate departments. This position plays an integral role in the preparation of external financial reports, including SEC Forms 10-K and 10-Q.

Job Responsibilities:
Prepares financial statements, footnotes and other disclosures as needed for SEC Forms 10-K and 10-Q, and other SEC filings as needed.
Assists in technical accounting research and the preparation of supporting documentation, analyses and accounting whitepapers for asset impairment tests, restructuring plans, segment reporting, hedging & derivatives and other technical accounting matters as needed.
Prepares quarterly statement of cash flows and statement of stockholders equity.
Performs detailed review of XBRL tagging to ensure compliance with SEC requirements.
Prepares monthly weighted average share calculation for EPS.
Assists in the execution of quarterly SOX sub-certification process.
Consolidates information received from 75+ field locations for use in required 10-K/10-Q disclosures.
Coordinates with external auditors for quarterly reviews and year-end audit process.
Provides support for quarterly earnings release process as needed.
Provides support for the annual Proxy statement filing as needed.
Assists with special projects and other duties as needed.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.  An advanced degree in Accounting is desired.
Minimum of 4 years related experience (will consider candidates who have completed 4 busy seasons). Work experience in Big 4/public accounting or combination of Big 4/public accounting and industry strongly preferred. Minimum of 2+ years experience with SEC filings.
CPA required.
Knowledge of Hyperion and JD Edwards considered a plus, but not required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively interface with multiple levels of management, are critical to success in this role.
