Shipping Manager
Our client, located in South Houston, TX, is in need of a Shipping Manager for a Contract to possible hire opportunity or a Direct Hire opportunity if the candidate is currently working.

Company Profile:
Well established oilfield tool manufacturing facility

Your Role:
Oversee inbound and outbound shipping activities; 
Handle all customer service compliance regarding shipment, damage and error.
Plan and direct daily and weekly activities of the shipping function to meet or exceed safety goals, service metrics, shipping/warehouse budget compliance, transportation lane compliance and service reliability targets.
Directs the actions of all subordinates assigned to the department and advises employees on proper procedures and is directly responsible for the subordinate’ s performance and adherence to the company’ s policies.  

Background Profile:
Seven to ten years of manufacturing and domestic/international shipping experience 
Strong computer literacy
Must have the ability to read and write English, basic mathematical skills including plane geometry
High school diploma
Experience working in a shipping department that is able to manufacture equipment quickly and has a quick turnaround would be ideal
