Our Dallas client is looking for a Software Project Manager (IT) on a direct hire basis. This position will report to the CIO.
This role will supervise the development, and redesign when applicable, of internal proprietary software for distribution and inventory management of OCTG (oil country tubular goods) in the United States and Canada. This role will learn the business model quickly through immersion, then develop a strategy and timelines for taking information systems and aligning development with business needs. This position will manage remote development teams in India.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree REQUIRED / Master’s Degree a PLUS in IT/IS
Management experience REQUIRED
Experience with leadership of remote / outsourced project team REQUIRED
Knowledge of and experience using Microsoft business solutions REQUIRED
Knowledge of and experience with .NET and SQL server REQUIRED
Ability to travel up to 25%; includes international travel to India and occasionally Canada REQUIRED
Strong communication skills, business planning experience, and program / project management ability REQUIRED
Software testing experience a PLUS
Requisitioning remote project teams and engineering in Asia a PLUS and experience traveling for IT projects to Asia a PLUS
