Our Houston, TX, Galleria Area client is seeking an Employee Benefits Administrator for a Direct Hire opportunity.

Job Description – Sr. Employee Benefits Administrator

SUMMARY AND MISSION
Provide support and performs a variety of administrative functions in employee benefits programs, including health & welfare, life, disability, and retirement programs. This position is centered around delivering excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will focus on the administration of the organization’s 401(k) investment and savings and stock purchase plans.
Administers various employee benefits programs, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life, accident and disability programs, as well as flexible spending and health savings account programs.
Calculates the monthly billing/premium statements for all group employee benefits programs and maintains statistical data relative to premiums, claims, and costs. Resolving any issues or discrepancies.
Serves as a liaison between insurance carriers and employee participants.
Participate in programs and events such as the company’s annual health fair.
Reviews enrollment forms and other benefit documents for accuracy and completeness.
Participates in the implementation of new or revised benefits programs.
Participates in annual vendor negotiations and plan design sessions.
Works with auditing teams as needed to ensure accuracy of plan data.

Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of all federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, ADA, Section 125, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, Worker’s Compensation, HIPAA, and other applicable regulations.
Ability to effectively and professionally manage difficult or emotional customer situations and respond promptly to customer needs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based, and related job-specific software applications.
Strong knowledge of HRIS systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations.
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Required Experience and Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or combination of equivalent education and business experience required.
Minimum of five (5) years employee benefits administration experience within a corporate HR/benefits environment.
