Our Dallas, TX client is looking to hire a System Administrator on a contract to possible hire basis.
System Administrator Job Requirements:
3+ years experience of each of the following is a requirement for this position:
Key Microsoft Enterprise technologies, including Windows system administration, Active Directory administration, Exchange Server, SQL Server and IIS
Network management and monitoring, including demonstrable understanding and technical knowledge of key concepts such as DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, IP configuration and management.
System repair and maintenance at the component level, including ‘from scratch’ construction.
Linux system administration
Veritas Backup exec and other disaster planning, implementation and maintenance.
Network monitoring and troubleshooting, using technologies such as Microsoft Operations Manager, Orion Solar Winds, or HP Openview.
Cisco router and firewall skills
System Administrator Summary: The successful candidates will demonstrate excellent documentation skills, interpersonal skills, critical problem solving skills, and willingness to take ownership of projects and drive them through to completion. Bachelor’s degree preferred, but work experience will be considered as a substitute.
