Our Houston, TX client is seeking a System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) on a long-term contract basis.
This is an opportunity to manage an estimated 2 year project for a large system upgrade. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with SCCM methodologies, cradle-to-grave project management, and specific experience with XP to 7 upgrades.
Primary Responsibilities:
Getting agents install on PWE desktops
Ensure updates are being disseminated properly
Ensuring software distribution is completely functional possibly publishing a few public apps
Turning on the Audit Feature and Remote Feature
Hardware and Software Inventory
Build non-standard reporting
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree is required; Computer Science degree is a huge plus
3+ years experience in an SCCM role
Experience with Cradle-to-grave project management
Has experience with upgrade of OS from XP to 7
Experience working on an IBM Blade system
