Tier 1 Help Desk Specialist – Stafford TX

Frontline Source Group  – temporary staffing and direct hire firm – is looking for a Tier 1 Help Desk Specialist for our Stafford, TX client for a contract to possible hire opportunity.

Summary:
Tier 1 Help desk responsibility – #1 priority to be available for any helpdesk issues.

Duties/Tasks:
Handle all basic computer issues that come up in the office
Remote support of employees that work off-site
New employee setup
Helping to set up new computers, basic Windows 8/Windows 7 knowledge
Enough Exchange familiarity and delegated admin rights to set up new emails
Help to keep track of inventory
Phone setup assistance
Shipping/Retrieving of company provided assets
Calendar Setup for Client Campaigns
Just the basic ability to keep track of requests/send out the “template” email of our initial setup instructions
Do the routine testing
Assist with testing, setup and initial planning of procedures for new calendar system
Assist Users with Salesforce.com issues
Troubleshoot for users and management
Set-up new Salesforce.com accounts.
Deactivate accounts
Run reports for Management
Report user adoption issues
Create dashboards
Update screen layouts
Work with 3rd party SFDC apps
Work with data imports, list building and data cleaning projects
Other IT related projects such as installations of anti-virus or new IM tool on individuals’ PCs.
Keeping track of or developing computer use policies
Keeping track of software/license status

Requirements:
2+ years of Tier 1 help desk support experience
1+ year of recent experience supporting Salesforce.com
HS Diploma Require, some college or trade school training is beneficial
MUST have previous experience with Salesforce.com
Experience working in a corporate office environment is ideal

Provisioning Specialist/IT Assistant – Plano TX

General Job Functions:
The selected candidate will need to ensure that phone and internet service to remote locations is available and in working order utilizing a high level of customer service satisfaction through the prompt resolution of problems.

Summary of Position:
Take incoming computer “help-desk” calls and determine the type of support needed and input into problem log
Coordinate phone and data line service for new communities (sales offices and construction trailers) for all markets.
Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with phone provider account representatives in order to escalate service issues.
Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with internal and external customers.
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
High School Diploma required.
College Degree preferred.
2 years of customer service or general office experience in a professional work environment is preferred.
Strong organizational skills and detail oriented required.
Ability to multi-task.
Able to clearly communicate (written and oral).
Lotus Notes experience a plus.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) required.
Strong internet skills required.
Strong customer service skills required.

Infrastructure Specialist – Houston TX

Our Northwest Houston, TX client is seeking an Infrastructure Specialist to join their IT team on a full-time basis.

This position will be hybrid role between applications and network support performing a variety of IT support functions such as support of the data and voice network infrastructure, general desktop support, and management of ticket resolution with managed service providers.  This is an opportunity to join a well-established group with excellent growth potential as a key resource within the organization.  The ideal candidate will have a wide range of experience with at least 5 years in a similar role.  Proficiency with Office 365 and ability to travel up to 25% is required.

Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinate issues with managed support providers and ensure appropriate user follow-up and resolution of tickets within defined service levels.
Perform diagnostic analysis and assist with the management and resolution of complex IT issues and implement corrective solutions for end users.
Install, configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software.
Assist with PC, server, and network equipment installations and movement of existing workstations, server and network equipment as necessary.
Work with the communications managed service provider to maintain the data and voice networks for all locations.
Troubleshoot IP Phone and network issues and ensure connectivity of all workstations and other network appliances as required.
Coordinate third party vendors for on-site maintenance and/or incident visits.
Work with the outsourced help desk to ensure management of equipment and stock for user workstations.  Assist with user provisioning tasks as required.
Perform asset lifecycle management for hardware, software, networking and other assets.
Assist IT Director with the development of business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives as requested.
Research and manage IT contracts & the purchases of IT hardware, software & services as requested by the IT Director.
Performs individual assignments and projects as requested by the IT Director

Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, MIS, or business degree with a technology concentration
Minimum of 5-7+ years of experience in IT, including support of data and VOIP networks and advanced desktop support
Ability to travel up to 25% – all domestic
Experienced in working with outsourcing providers or third-party services
Good understanding and technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, network, operating systems, hardware, protocols and standards, including Microsoft communications, operating systems & Office productivity suite
Office 365  and Active Directory are required
Cisco CE is a plus
Firewall configuration, network configuration, and router management are also a plus

Our The Woodlands, TX client is in need of a Help Desk Specialist for a long-term contract position. This individual will serve as the first tier of hardware and system support for general IT assistance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Respond to requests from departments to assess and resolve desktop or laptop issues while performing maintenance in a timely manner.
Assist in procurement of new computers and appliance, and then build and configure the products to work with the company’s network.
Perform basic network configuration to support workplace assignments and network expansion.

Responsibilities:
Successful individual will be responsible for dispatching technical support (internal or third party) as necessary, and managing priority requests and mission critical responses. Qualifications:

Ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments and exercise prudent business judgment while maintaining effective performance
Solid working knowledge and proficient use of standard MS Office products
Accurate data entry skills
Experience using Crystal Reports is a plus

Network Engineer – Houston Texas

Our Houston TX client, located in The Heights area, is in need of 2 Network Engineers for a contract to hire opportunity.

The network engineer is responsible for supporting the clients networks on military bases throughout the middle east.  The position will be staffed in their Houston office and will provide high level remote support and will be responsible for day to day maintenance and troubleshooting.  The network engineer will also act as mentor for the locally deployed NOC staff and provide tier 3 support to our networks.  Required experience includes:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting Cisco based networks.
Experience with VLANs, trunking, switch and router configuration.
Experience with point to point and point to multipoint wireless networks.
Must possess strong troubleshooting methodology on network related issues.
Ability to accurately document both existing and future planned networks.
Ability to create clear and concise procedure and troubleshooting guides.
CCNA preferred!

Back Office Operations Engineer – Houston Texas

Our Midtown area Houston, TX client is seeking a Back Office Software Operations Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Work in highly collaborative, cross-functional, agile teams interfacing with internal trading, research and software development.
  • Develop automation and monitoring tools to support deeply complex trading operations and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and perform in depth analysis of application and system failures including automating functionality, and providing temporary fixes through quick and dirty coding in between releases.
  • Serve as an integral hub in the communication of performance issues and recommended improvements involving market data, trading systems, as well as the front office and accounting teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor level degree or equivalent (Science, Engineering and Technology disciplines preferred).
  • Two or more years of experience in the Financial Industry.
  • Experience with scripting, object-oriented, or functional languages.
  • Exposure to the software development lifecycle including production and delivery.
  • Production support experience with front, middle or back office.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability and desire to own your work and be productive with little direction when necessary.

IT Administrator – Houston Texas

Our Northwest Houston, TX client is seeking a contract to possible hire IT Administrator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the end-users and ensuring delivery of consistent quality service across the organization. Assist the users with the efficient and effective use of desktop applications and systems.
  • Help Desk support of the problem resolution process and assist with the continuous improvement of support methods for on-site and remote employees to ensure uniform levels of technical support across the distributed organization.
  • Support of Active Directory as well as setup and administration of user accounts for all internal services (e-mail, dial-in, corporate intranet, etc.)
  • Point of contact for questions regarding technology including PCs, printers, copy machines, faxes machines, audio/visual equipment, etc.
  • Ensure that end-users are notified of new techniques, time saving tools and other tips or information that will help them to be more efficient.
  • Staff training and delivery of clear and concise support documentation.
  • Test new software for compatibility with the desktop and supported standard configurations.
  • Ensure incident reporting of significant and recurring problems in order to track the corrective action process for these issues.
  • Maintain standard configurations for the desktop /server environment.
  • Procurement, setup and configuration and disposal of equipment for all new employees serviced out of this location and remote locations. 

    Experience:

     

  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven skills supporting a distributed and mobile environment.
  • Technically competent in the following areas: MS Windows, MS Exchange, Microsoft Office and Cisco VPN.
  • Capable of handling a challenging, real-time environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills.
