Northwest Houston company is currently looking for an IT Technician to troubleshoot desktops and servers. This company is willing to reimburse for additional training. There is growth potential, both in pay and in position for those seeking additional certifications and training.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshooting hardware for desktops and servers
System configuration for hard drives and memory
Work with spam and firewall servers to setup rules and configure NATs
Strong understanding of networks and the internet including MS Server OS 2008/2012 and Novell Linux
Hardware troubleshooting for both desktops and servers, system configuration including hard drives and memory

REQUIREMENTS:
4+ years experience in an IT Technician role
High school diploma required

Sr. Network Engineer (VOIP) – Anitoch TN

Our Nashville, TN client is looking for a SR. Network Engineer (VOIP) for a 3-month temporary assignment.

Position Description:
The Senior Network Engineer (VoIP) is primarily responsible for the configuration and administration of communications and telephony systems. This individual will work in a team environment with strong customer service focus. Individual must be able to prioritize day-to-day tasks critical to the availability of the production operating environment and have the ability to determine the root cause of failures quickly and effectively. This position will also serve as an internal escalation point to support and troubleshoot communications problems on various systems used within the company. This position will participate in a rotating on-call schedule, providing after hours support as necessary.

Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and development of communications infrastructure.
Implement new communications infrastructure components into production environment.
Maintain and enhance existing Cisco VoIP telephony environment.
Maintain day to day system operations and fulfill task requests for configurations updates.
Create and maintain documentation of configurations, specifications, processes and procedures.
Participate in rotation to provide after hours (24×7) support.
Provide internal training and mentoring.

Required skills:
At least 3 years experience in the roll of a Network Engineer working with voice technology.
Highly motivated and ambitious, go-getter with a hunger for learning new technology!!
Cisco CM/UCCX configuration and troubleshooting skills (critical skill set)
Strong working knowledge of Linux (Red Hat/ CentOS)
Previous experience provisioning communications circuits and interacting with telco vendors
Experience with system monitoring tools (such as Nagios, Cacti, etc…)
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
Previous experience managing data center infrastructure
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated documentation skills with Visio and other tools

Preferred skills:
Programming/Scripting: bash, perl, C or other
Experience with Hylafax (faxing server)
Windows Server, Active Directory
Experience with Cisco and/or HP Procurve networking equipment
Experience with virtualization utilizing Vsphere
A Bachelor degree is preferred

Requirements:

Our client in Dallas, TX Is looking for a Voip Network Engineer:

Basic Function:
This exempt position supports, monitors, tests, and troubleshoots hardware and
software problems pertaining to telecommunications. Recommends, schedules, and performs
repairs for all telecommunications equipment (Primarily Cisco). Provides end users support for all
telecommunications related issues, configuration, and ancillary LAN-based applications. Installs and
configures Cisco Call Manager Servers and Software, Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Unity
VM) and Cisco Routers and Switches. Reviews, and analyzes network applications including testing,
debugging and installing for remote communications and connectivity.

Essential Duties:
Test, trouble shoot, design and repair Cisco VoIP telecommunication equipment
issues in and out of the office; Test, trouble shoot,WAN/LAN connectivity on Cisco Routers and
Switches and telecommunication issues; Test, review, and fix changes in hardware configurations;
Review/fix use of wireless, Cisco Wireless Access Points and provide support to the
wireless environment.

Network Engineer – Dallas Texas

Our client in Dallas, TX Is looking for a Network Engineer:

Basic Function
This exempt position manages the implementation, maintenance and performance of all servers and network applications and backup services for each office location; including testing, debugging, installing and maintaining.  This position will have hands-on responsibility and work closely with the Director of Information Technology.

Essential Duties
1.Administers, maintains, develops and implements procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the product;
2.Lead in projects, including development and growth of our  application offerings;
3.Responsible for installation and configuration of applications;
4.Troubleshoot network applications and hardware;
5.Provides documentation/project tracking;
6.Subject matter expert in specific applications and network technology and solutions, providing consultation to IT leadership;
7.Analyze/resolve problems with server hardware, OS and applications software;

Qualifications
Knowledge
Individual must have proven expertise in the support of a Microsoft Exchange messaging environment and advanced knowledge of Microsoft internetworking technologies including Windows Server 2003 to current, Active Directory, file and print services, DNS and DHCP.  Other required experience includes server and management and support of remote desktop, voice, mobility, data replication, back-up technologies, and legal specific technologies.  Additionally, position requires in-depth knowledge of network operating systems, servers, and physical network components.
Skills
Must possess strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work both individually and collaboratively with team members, attorneys, professional staff, and vendors in support of different project initiatives.  Incumbent will help establish and participate in the development of technology-related policies, standards and end-user procedures as appropriate.
Experience
Minimum five to seven years’ experience in a large Microsoft environment.  Minimum one to three years in a large law firm environment strongly preferred.  College degree strongly preferred with a B.S. in Computer Science, MIS or related degree or equivalent education and work experience or certification.
Physical Demands
Must be able to move around the office up to 25% of the time; Position remains stationary at least 50% of the time; When doing occasional office build outs or system upgrades, might be required to move around up to 100% of the time; This position constantly operates, and frequently inspects and positions, computers and other office productivity machines (e.g., fax machine, copier, printer, etc.); Positions self to maintain/troubleshoot computers underneath office desks, up to 15% of the time; Frequently moves computer equipment weighing up to 20 lbs; Occasionally moves computer/server equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.; This position requires frequent communication and exchange of information with the Firm attorneys and staff.

Part-Time Reimbursement Specialist – Frisco TX

Our Frisco, TX client, is seeking a Part-Time Reimbursement Specialist on a contract to possible hire basis.

Responsibilities:
Benefit verification for patient information submitted
Creation of estimates of expected reimbursement for patient information submitted
Guide providers through the process-request all needed documentation to determine medical necessity and ensure best processing outcome for each claim
Communicate with providers regarding the status of their patients’ health claims
Review health records and documentation submitted to ensure the patient meets medical necessity criteria for coverage
Submission of pre-authorization requests to payers/request in-network exception for out of network claims
Submission of health claims to payers
Claims follow up – management of reconsiderations and appeals of denied claims in network provider pre-authorization submission & DME benefits verification
Contacting in-network patients to alert of authorization, discuss DME benefits, and direct to authorized client dentists for therapy
Participating Plan Relations – managing member authorizations, submissions, claims, reporting
Collection of patient cost share (co-pay, co-insurance) and coordinate case release with logistics department

Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in insurance/medical office– electronic claims submission and pre-authorization experience preferred
BS/BA degree-preferred, not required
High level knowledge-medical coding/ billing
High level knowledge-health claims submission process
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Strong verbal/written communication skills
Attention to detail, ability to maintain follow up with all stakeholders

Client has 2 Microsoft Active Directory Servers, wireless LAN’s and 100 PC’s. There is regular travel to Austin (approximately two day trip every 2 weeks) that is required.

Position Description:

  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain the company LAN, including client/server support, OS, applications, and all peripherals.
  • Support and maintain network users, user environment, and security.
  • Maintain Active Directory, as well as PC clients and other network peripherals and software.
  • Internal help desk support.
  • Onsite support for Houston and Austin dealerships.

Required Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with WinXP Pro and Win7 Pro OS and standard network protocols.
  • Proven experience with 10/100/1000 Base T, wireless LAN, and broad band internet T1 connections.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2003/2008 including Active Directory.
  • Hardware setup, upgrade, and maintenance skills, including desktop, server, and LAN peripherals.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP).

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 Years on the job experience.
  • Mitel phone experience a plus.
  • MCSE certification a plus.

Sr Systems Engineer – Houston Texas

Our Houston, TX client located in the Galleria area is in immediate need of a contract Senior Systems Engineer.

SUMMARY
The Sr. Systems Engineer reports to the IT Service Delivery Manager and will be primarily responsible for the escalation resolution and advanced troubleshooting of Windows Server 2003/2008 hardware, operating system and application issues.  Additionally, the Sr. Systems Engineer will have the ability to build, understand, and troubleshoot basic network configurations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITY

  • Provide advanced support service on escalated tickets by identifying and resolving technical problems working with team members to resolve server-related hardware and operation system issues
  • Serve as a final internal escalation point for all Windows Server and Application Issues, by engaging appropriate vendors/manufacturers (e.g. Microsoft, HP) after deploying all existing skills and research abilities
  • Bring all advanced user issues to full resolution in a timely manner in accordance with contract Service Level Agreement (SLA)
  • Design, engineer, configure, assemble and support server hardware (HP, Dell, SuperMicro) based on the needs of the environment and demands on the server.
  • Design, engineer and implement all aspects of a Windows network; prepare high-level executive summary as well as complete, detailed equipment manifests
  • Design, engineer, install, configure, and maintain on-site backup hardware and software systems that complete mission critical nightly backups.
  • Engineer, install, configure, and administer / maintain all aspects of Windows 2003/2008 Operating Systems, including Active Directory (Advanced), Terminal Services, Exchange Server, MSSQL Server, Permissions/Security, and other server-based applications
  • Create knowledgebase articles to explain advanced problems and recommended solutions

SKILLS

  • Strong written communication skills for updating tickets
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to make quick, logically sound decisions based on user needs, environment capabilities,  and technical knowledge
  • Extensive experience installing, supporting, troubleshooting and recovering server hardware issues including RAID arrays
  • Windows design skills with extensive expertise in Active Directory and Exchange Server
  • Experience with Microsoft Server consolidation, clustering, and network architecture projects
  • Hands-on experience installing, supporting, troubleshooting, upgrading and migrating Microsoft Exchange Server 2003/2007; (2010 experience desirable)
  • Extensive experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting Enterprise backup systems on Windows Servers such as Symantec BackupExec, CommVault or Microsoft Data Protection Management
  • Experience with VMware (vSphere) and Citrix XenApp or XenDesktop
  • Experience with application of virtualization and storage solutions
  • Experience with basic functionality of MSSQL including maintenance plans and backups
  • Expertise in administration of common SmartPhones functionality (iPhone, BlackBerry, Android) in an enterprise environment
  • Working knowledge of Cisco network support and troubleshooting (CCNA desirable)

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years supporting Windows servers; service desk experience desired
  • Post secondary technical education
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Certification
  • Willingness to work irregular hours and participate in a weekly rotation with 24 hour responsibility
  • Valid Driver License
  • Willingness to attend position-related seminars, classes and testing to complete certification
  • Ability to speak, pronounce, and communicate clearly in English to users at all levels
  • Ability to lift up to fifty pounds, bend, and use hands in a repetitious motion for at least 8 hours per day

SUMMARY

The IT Service Engineer reports to the IT Service Delivery Manager and will be responsible for the problem resolution of workstation or networking issues, basic server administration, and facilitation of the outstanding user service support experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITY

  • Provide technical support service by identifying and resolving technical problems for end users by email, phone, or by travel to Client site.
