Our Houston, TX client is seeking a Technical Sales Representative. This position requires up to 60% travel.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the direct sales of products to the following served markets: Investor Owned Utilities, Cooperatives/Municipalities, Power Plants, Industrial/OEM, Electrical Contractor, Services Industry, and Government.
Extensive customer interface requires Technical Sales Representative to reside within the territory.
The territorial sales area designated “HOU” consists of the following geographical area:
Louisiana – All Parishes excluding the following: Bossier, Caddo, and DeSoto (Shreveport area) and West Feliciana, East Feliciana, St. Helena, Tangipahoa, Washington, St. Tammany, Livingston, Ascension, Assumption, St. Charles, Jefferson, Orleans, St. Bernard, Plaquemines, St. James, St. John the Baptist, Lafourche and Terrebonne (New Orleans area).
Texas: All counties South of, and including Val Verde, Edwards, Kimble, Mason, Llano, Lampases, Burnet, Williamson, Milam, Robertson Leon, Houston, Trinity, Polk, Tyler, Jasper and Newton.
Requirements:
Requires four years experience in sales to electric utilities, apparatus manufacturers and heavy industrial facilities.
Technical background should include knowledge of transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear and protective relays.
Degree a plus. BSEE preferred.
Must have excellent time and territory management skills.
Must have excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
