Our Katy, TX client is in need of a Training and Development Manager for a Direct Hire opportunity.

Work Experience:
At least five years of related experience required.  Experience in high volume retail environment preferred.  Three years facilitating and developing training material required.  ECommerce and call center training preferred. MUST be familiar with authoring tools such as Captivate or Articulate and be familiar with Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience. 

Skills and Ability:
Ability to manage performance related associate development
Ability to interact & communicate with all levels of the organization
Positive attitude & ability to teach & lead in all aspects of the organization
Effective listening, speaking (including public speaking), & writing skills
Proficient in MS Applications [Excel, PowerPoint, Word].  Experience with Lotus Notes e-mail software preferred.
Ability to plan, anticipate & develop solutions to ensure the most outstanding learning experience
Analytical approach to problem solving
Knowledge of ECommercce and call center training preferred
Able to travel local and overnight periodically
Acceptable level of hearing & vision to perform job duties
Experience with computer based training desired
Knowledge of Camtasia and UPK programs desired

Duties:
Oversees the process of organizing, facilitating & tracking training to support functional and developmental needs.
Delivers training as needed.
Provides developmental feedback to HR and Director of Training and Development.
Develops business partnerships to understand training needs and increase internal readiness and advancement.
Researches and evaluates new training methods to be utilized (written, video, computer based).
Answers procedural questions and acts as liaison between corporate training and associates
Ensures that expenses for the department are within budget and takes corrective action as needed.
Hires, develops, and coaches staff.
Required to learn company policies and safety rules.
