Our North Dallas, TX client is seeking a UI/UX Designer- Senior Technology Product Designer.  This client offers an excellent benefits package and a very generous PTO plan.

The Senior Product Designer (PD) is responsible for developing e-learning products for the K-12 education market.  The Senior PD provides subject matter expertise and User Interface and User Experience design leadership to optimize user engagement for our learning applications in a variety of  contexts (including, but not limited to, browser, desktop, mobile, touch-screen, and tablets). The Senior PD develops e-learning activities, games and assessments to support learning objectives and optimize user engagement. The Senior PD also uses best practices for verifying the efficacy of learning applications in a variety of contexts (including, but not limited to, browser, desktop, mobile, touch-screen, and tablets). 

Responsibilities:
Lead the requirements gathering, design planning and development of key projects as assigned.
Provide strategic thinking to come up with best solutions to a variety of e-learning projects.
Develop e-learning products for a variety of device contexts (including, but not limited to, laptop/desktop, mobile phones, and touch-screen tablets) as well as a variety of online social contexts (individual, peer-sharing, and community).
Design simple, intuitive solutions to complex educational UX problems.
Develop e-learning activities, games and assessments to support learning objectives, optimize user engagement.
Create detailed user flows, storyboards, wireframes, and production-ready designs, then refine those user experiences for web sites, web applications, and mobile applications – all within specified product requirements and deadlines.
Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure optimal implementation of the UI/UX
Create detailed style guides based on final mockups.
Advocate for best practices, great usability/user-centered design and exceptional quality.
Coordinate development efforts with various stakeholders, including but not limited to sales & marketing, design, media, and engineering, to ensure optimal development of an engaging e-learning experience.
Provide marketing leadership & direction to the product team during the development process
Support the implementation of our products by iterating the user experience based on feedback, resolve conflicts in instructional strategy in the design and development of online curriculum.
Validate, both before and after implementation, that the learning user experience meets the learning objectives and recommend necessary iterative improvements.
Track and review usage analytics of e-learning applications. Use analytics to direct and develop product improvement and enhancement.

Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Art/Design, Marketing, Computer Science or related fields- PREFRERRED
5+ years of web-based product strategy, design and development experience
10+ years of experience in design, creative direction, and/or marketing of print & interactive products
Ability to lead software design teams through the web and mobile UI design and development process.
Must be analytical, solution-oriented and possess excellent troubleshooting and time management skills.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively communicate to senior management, peers, technical team and customers.
Ability to quickly assess and react to changing circumstances and new information.
Experience in developing web-based mobile applications; knowledge of mobile web design principles.
Experience in developing educational web sites and web applications, preferably for the K-12 marketplace.
