VP will play an active role in supporting senior bankers in their relationship management responsibilities with direct client interaction. VP will be responsible for a significant amount of analytical and financial modeling work in support of high value-added presentations. These presentations will use multiple data sources, including CapitalIQ and Bloomberg. When required, perform extensive analysis (both qualitative and quantitative) in support of the origination process. Assist in transaction evaluation, preparation, due diligence and execution.

Responsibilities:
General:
Client coverage in Corporate Finance is organized along both geographic and industry lines. Working closely with bank professionals around the globe, US Corporate Finance utilizes its expertise, along with that of various Product Specialists and Portfolio Risk Managers, to deliver creative ideas and solutions to clients.
US Corporate Finance VPs are directly involved in the design, origination, structuring and execution of financial advisory, global capital markets, financial risk management, structured & syndicated finance, and other global products and services for existing and prospective clients.
• Perform in-depth company, financial and industry due diligence (both qualitative and quantitative) in support of the origination process;
• Facilitate and coordinate product group and origination officer idea generation and develop solutions across a broad platform of global capabilities;
• Responsible for a significant amount of financial modeling and comparable analysis, and data feed capture and analysis;
• Develop and prepare comprehensive marketing proposals/pitch presentations that rely on significant analysis;
• Assist in transaction evaluation, preparation, due diligence and execution;
• Aid in prospecting for new client relationships by generating marketing screens from various quantitative and qualitative sources; and
• Active dialogue with clients.

Administrative:
• Preparation of marketing materials and financing/non-credit proposals for existing and prospective customers.

Policy:
• Understand policies and procedures including portfolio objectives, lending guidelines, and advisory origination business; and
• Adhere to legal and regulatory guidelines in promoting bank and securities firm products and services.

Technical Skills:
• Credit, analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and decision making skills; and
• Financial modeling skills, including strong foundation in Corporate Finance theory;
• Superior written and oral communication skills (including presentation skills) plus negotiating abilities.

Management Responsibilities:
• Work with other groups within the other branches and subsidiaries as part of the customer relationship management and business development functions.

Qualifications:
• Undergraduate/Masters degree in Finance or Economics;
• Minimum 3-5 years experience with a top tier global financial institution with a focus in the Energy sector;
• Knowledge of corporate finance, capital markets, derivatives and risk analysis;
• Aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovation ideas and/or product solutions;
• Possess strong written and oral communication skills and ability to convey ideas;
• Creativity and intellectual curiosity;
• Time management skills and ability to balance several tasks/project at once;
• Must be a self-starter, able to work independently in a satellite office
• Must be able to work effectively in a geographically distributed team environment;
• Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint);
• Bloomberg, FactSet, CapitalIQ; and
• Series 7, 63 and 79 preferred
