Our Carrollton, TX client is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources on a Direct Hire basis.

Position Overview:
The Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for directing all of the people functions of the company in accordance with established policies and practices, the ethical and social consciences of business, and all laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental authorities and organizations.  The incumbent will work with the executive team in ensuring that the organization is employing the human resource and talent management practices that best support its business strategies 

Responsibilities:
Incumbent will serve as a trusted and valued advisor to the executive teams around the strategic direction and human capital needs of the business in order to achieve its goals, and ensuring consistent policy implementation throughout assigned businesses
Lead the design, development, and delivery of employee-focused programs (e.g., compensation, benefits, training) that help the organization attract and retain top talent and reinforce company culture/values
Strategically partner with the organization to enhance performance management, communication, and workforce productivity and translate the strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans
Develop staffing strategies and implementation plans and programs to identify talent within and outside the corporation for positions of responsibility. Identify appropriate and effective external sources for candidates for all levels within the company
Develop progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance and to provide programs which utilize an employee and company partnership for the short and long-range health and welfare protection of the employees
Can develop and implement complex projects Coordinating the development and delivery of training and overseeing compliance with various governmental regulations dealing with EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA and other related Federal & State laws
Leading the investigation and response to all government, legal or internally reported employee relations charges for the assigned businesses
Directing the annual compensation planning, survey participation and job evaluation processes, managing the annual performance assessment and employee development planning processes, orientation planning and administration
Establish credibility throughout the organization with management and the employees in order to be an effective listener and problem solver of people issues.
Develop human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and develop specific programs for the filling of the gaps. Areas of activity will include talent management through proper succession planning programs for key contributor and leadership positions, training and development programs for preparing employees for more significant responsibilities and general business development programs to enhance employee knowledge and understanding of the business of the company
Continually assess the competitiveness of all programs and practices against the relevant comparable companies, industries and markets
Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce human resources policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the company. In particular, manage the human resource information systems database and necessary reports for critical analyses of the HR function and the people resources of the corporation
Provide technical advice and knowledge to others within the human resources discipline
Manage the budget and other financial measures of the Human Resources Department
Continue improving the programs, policies, practices and processes associated with meeting the strategic and operational people issues of the organization
Evaluation of the human resource structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as providing individuals with professional and personal growth with emphasis on opportunities (where possible) for individuals

Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) required – Advanced degree highly desired
15+ years of managerial experience in Human Resources
Extensive experience in managing human resource activities
Knowledge of human resource policy development & administration
Experience in Talent Management or Organization Development in addition to Generalist roles
An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image
A strategic planner with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus
A well-organized and self-directed individual who is “politically savvy” and a team player
An excellent facilitator who is experienced in resolving conflicts between different parties to a dispute
A decisive individual who possesses a strategic focus as well as an operational, implementation and detail oriented perspective
