Our client in Dallas, TX Is looking for a Voip Network Engineer:

Basic Function:
This exempt position supports, monitors, tests, and troubleshoots hardware and
software problems pertaining to telecommunications. Recommends, schedules, and performs
repairs for all telecommunications equipment (Primarily Cisco). Provides end users support for all
telecommunications related issues, configuration, and ancillary LAN-based applications. Installs and
configures Cisco Call Manager Servers and Software, Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Unity
VM) and Cisco Routers and Switches. Reviews, and analyzes network applications including testing,
debugging and installing for remote communications and connectivity.

Essential Duties:
Test, trouble shoot, design and repair Cisco VoIP telecommunication equipment
issues in and out of the office; Test, trouble shoot,WAN/LAN connectivity on Cisco Routers and
Switches and telecommunication issues; Test, review, and fix changes in hardware configurations;
Review/fix use of wireless, Cisco Wireless Access Points and provide support to the
wireless environment.

Other Duties:
Provide technical support to team members.
Fix reports of problems; close tickets; provide feedback.
Perform other related duties as needed or assigned.
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance network infrastructure. Collaborate and and interact with stakeholders to define, design and build new features
Analyze and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefits of IT systems investments. Generate
practical and creative options and solutions to problems while maximizing existing resources.
Reporting Relationship – The Network/VoIP Engineer II reports directly to the Manager of
Infrastructure/Security. Subordinate Staff: N/A
Desired Education – College degree strongly preferred with a B.S. in Computer Electronics
and Telecommunications or related degree or equivalent education and work experience or
certification.

Qualifications:
The Network/VoIP Engineer II should possess advanced knowledge and experience
with the current MicrosoftWindows and the Office XP suite. This individual should have advanced
telecom knowledge of Cisco VoIP products, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity, Cisco Call Manager
servers, Cisco Routers and Switches, cell phones, PDAs, and peripheral devices and equipment. Must
also possess a strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS,WINS, and DHCP; Cisco routers, switches,
PIX/ASA firewalls and VPN servers; PRI, T1, T3, MPLS, and Leased Lines; WAN environment; Network
security; Virus and Malware threat defense and response.
