Our busy and growing client in Dallas, TX is looking for an Accounting Specialist on a contract to possible hire basis.

National insurance organization
In business over 10 years
Based in Dallas with offices located in other states within the US
Accounting Specialist Role:
The Accounting Specialist will work with and help a great team with reconciliations and tax filings.
Responsible for filing tax statements by going online and typing in the information to do the filings for each state.
Responsible for tax statement filings on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
Reconcile balance sheet accounts
Reconcile bank accounts
Monthly journal entries
Assist with audits and ad hoc analysis
Accounting Specialist Background Profile:
The Accounting Specialist will enjoy working in a growing and fast paced team environment.
Bachelor’ s degree in Accounting or Related experience
2+ years of general accounting experience
Microsoft Office – specifically strong Excel skills (Vlookups, Pivot Tables)
The ideal candidate will be very detail oriented, organized and able to multi-task.
Strong analytical and research skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Eager to learn and take on new assignments and responsibilities
Dependable, reliable, and strong work ethic
