Our NW Houston, TX client is in need of an Actuation Specialist for a Direct Hire opportunity.

Responsibilities:
Review bid packages to determine customer requirements.
Communicate with outside vendors to obtain pricing, quotes etc.
Develop actuator package quotations based on the requirements
Working knowledge of Actuation Specifications, including but not limited, to size, torque, materials specifications.
Work directly with customer/distributor requirements to properly select automation package components and make recommendations that will result in final specification
Work in concert with shipping and production to ensure the proper measures are taken to satisfy customer requirements
Verbally and electronically communicate with customers, sales representatives and distributors to offer support needed.
Track all open orders, all actuation programs, on time delivery, and savings on all actuation and gear box orders.
Liaison between Sales Group, Project Management, Suppliers, Supply Chain
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
8+ years of experience
Non-degreed candidates who have related work experience and can demonstrate that they have the appropriate knowledge and skills required will also be considered.
Related work experience and knowledge includes:
Working in valve automation centers (VAC’s) specifying/selling brands such as:
EIM, REXA, Rotork, Limitorque, Bernard Controls
Familiarity with basic valve automation systems, components and accessories.
Application and sizing expertise of electric actuators.
Familiarity with the various popular digital protocols employed in the industry today
Experience with distribution valve market and actuation suppliers required
