Our Dallas, TX client is looking for a temp to hire Applications Engineer to join their team.
The ideal candidate would have a four year civil engineering, architectural, structural engineering, construction engineering, or construction technology degree
Position Overview:
Prepares shop drawings for aluminum curtain wall systems utilizing AutoCAD .
AutoCAD drafters and designers prepare blueprints and drawings used to design aluminum curtain wall structures, and parts and products which will be manufactured or created at a later date for same.
Position entails creating technical details to specify dimensions, materials and sometimes procedures required to complete an aluminum and glass curtain wall project.
Shop fabricators and field erection crews utilize these drawings to successfully complete a project.
Requirements:
Must be proficient in AutoCAD versions 2012 LT
Must be capable of creating shop drawings in AutoCad
Must be able to interact professionally with other designers and engineers and follow directions
Experience in the glass and glazing/curtainwalls/windowwalls industry for at least 5 years
A four year civil engineering, structural engineering, construction engineering, or construction technology degree is preferred
