Our client in Dallas, TX is looking for a Manager of Billing on a direct hire basis. The selected candidate will have the following skill set:

Position Overview:
Responsible for managing and operating the firm’s billing function and billing department. This individual will interface with all billing attorneys, as well as clients.

Job Responsibilities:
Ensure that Trust Account procedures are being followed
Advise on, and process, the Firm’s write offs of accounts receivable
Conduct training sessions with new hires, attorneys and secretaries in group settings, as well as on individual basis, as needed
Manage the billing coordinators; management and review, training, development and mentoring
Mediate staff concerns and disputes in regards to billing issues
Set up and monitor Event Driven Reporting (EDR’s)
Monitor work in process for Firm’s clients and for Attorney hold files
Check Time Load errors and make corrections
Oversee the process of pro forma processing
Responsible for the month end closing and balancing
Identify cost savings opportunities and make recommendations to management
Prepare various analyses as required by management and clients; budget analysis for department
Monitor and track contingent fee cases
Send client bills out

Requirements:
5+ years of general accounting experience required
5+ years of relevant managerial experience required
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or equivalent experience required
Basic accounting knowledge, record keeping, general office procedures, and basic legal terminology
Must have a solid grasp of client relationships and billing procedures
Law firm or other professional services firm experience strongly preferred
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
Must possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Must have the ability to answer questions while maintaining confidentiality
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required
