Our Dallas, TX client is seeking a Billing/Reimbursement Specialist to join their team on a contract to possible hire basis.
Duties:
Ensure that all monthly billing is done accurately and all claims meet regulatory standards
Consistent and thorough follow up with all insurances will be required; and all denied claims will be fixed and resubmitted in an expedient manner
Work closely with all departments and supervisors to get appropriate documentation for clean claim submissions
Will develop and maintain up to date spreadsheets for all business units of how much is being billed and payments received to the CFO and finance department for review.
Requirements:
5 years experience in home health or in health related field
2 year college education or required experience in health care setting
A strong working knowledge of billing processes and accounts receivable; specifically with Managed Care, Medicaid, Medicare, Star Plus, HMO plans, Superior, and Molina experience
1 year of collection experience
Must be computer proficient; with specific knowledge of Word and Excel
Must have the ability to communicate effectively and produce financial results
Must possess the quality of job ownership and meet all deadlines required for efficient billing and collections
Must demonstrate the characteristics of courtesy, honesty, and integrity necessary to meet customer service expectations
