Our Salt Lake City, UT client is seeking a Curtain Wall Designer on a Direct Hire basis.
Responsibilities:
Create shop drawing key plans, elevations and spreadsheet tables
Create technical details and designs for architectural exterior facade products including aluminum curtain wall, metal panels, terracotta, screen walls and exterior shading systems
Create tag and part drawings for fabrication of building façade components
Qualifications:
Associates Degree in CAD detailing, Project Management or Architectural Engineering
3-5 years of curtain wall or other building façade detailing experience
Proficient in AutoCad 2D and 3D modeling software such as, Revit, Solidworks or Inventor
Working knowledge of word processing, spread sheet, database and email software
General understanding of building codes governing building facades
General understanding of rainscreen principles and detailing
General understanding of façade movement principles caused by thermal, wind, seismic and live load forces
Analytical thinker / problem solver
Able to analyze and fully detail assigned projects with minimal supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
