Our NW Houston, TX client is in need of a Document Control Specialist for a Direct Hire opportunity.

Excellent opportunity for an experience Document Control Specialist with experience working  in the Oil & Gas engineering field. This is an opportunity to join a great team in a brand new facility. This position works in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment, so it’s important the incumbent can stay focused and carry out the tasks in a timely and accurate manner.

Position Duties:
Responsibility for the management, control and storage of all externally and internally developed documents.
Proper identification and classification of documents according to company and client requirements, including application of company and client document numbers to project documents.
Become familiar with client project management systems in order to upload, download, and/or search to find and download documents.
Maintain project data using corporate document management systems and store documents in the appropriate electronic repository as they are received.
Manage correspondence between all project principles using various communication tools.
Implement document control strategies established by project requirements and contractual obligations.
Perform clerical typing duties to generate documents as necessary.
Perform duties as defined in division document control policies and procedures.

 

Position Requirements:
Candidates must have a High School Diploma
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in a document management role, specifically in the oil & gas engineering field.
Candidates must have experience defining and implementing document control processes, procedures, and specifications
This individual must have the ability to be self-directed, the ability to work independently, and be highly-motivated.
Candidates must be detail-oriented, dependable and trustworthy since they come in contact with complex and sensitive documents.
Candidates must have the ability to receive constructive criticism and feedback and translate it into process improvement
Candidates must have excellent grammar and writing skills.
Candidates must have a conservative and professional attitude plus be very mature and responsible.
Candidates must have strong computer skills including advanced Microsoft Office skills.
Experience with transmitting documents in a variety of ways, based on customer specifications is expected
