Frontline Source Group  – temporary staffing and direct hire firm – is looking for an Environmental Supervisor for our Clarksville, TN client on a direct hire basis.

The Environmental Supervisor is responsible for the environmental compliance program at the manufacturing facility by providing day-to-day environmental support to operations, developing, implementing, and maintaining required plans, permits, and reports within the organization.  The Environmental Supervisor is also responsible for training personnel and implementing environmental risk management system, understanding and implementing new environmental regulations applicable to the facility, and establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with site personnel and environmental agencies.

Works directly with plant manager to ensure that environmental requirements are proactively integrated into the facility’s operations.

Environmental Responsibilities
Direct and assist in compliance of federal (EPA) and State environmental program requirements, including but not limited to air, wastewater, storm water, solid and hazardous waste, CERCLA/EPCRA.
Analyze incident and compliance trend data and work with operating departments
Participate in incident investigation, mitigation, root cause analysis and corrective action
Coordinate activities and prepare/submit reporting to outside agencies
Stay current with new ideas, engineering and techniques in the environmental field
Represent facility during agency inspections
Identify cost effective solutions for technical and regulatory environmental issues

Job Requirements
Minimum 5 years direct industrial environmental experience
3 years direct involvement in all aspects of a Title V air program
Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or related field or combination of education and experience
Proactive and assertive, with sense of urgency to problem solving
Ability to read, analyze and problem solve with attention to detail Ability to communicate (written and verbal) to employees, managers, customers, vendors, etc.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and execute multiple projects effectively
Ability to develop effective action plans and drive continuous improvement of the facility’s environmental compliance program and management systems
Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.  SAP experience is a plus.
Ability to travel out of state occasionally.
