Our client in Dallas, TX is looking for an Exploration Data Administrator. The selected candidate will have the following skill set:

Position Overview:
This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of geological and geophysical data used by the company in exploration and production operations. This position will focus on supporting geologists, geophysicists and production engineers.

Job Responsibilities:
Provides expert seismic data analysis supporting the exploration department, solving complex data quality issues, and performing advanced data manipulation
Facilitates the integration of data types into data flows which support the standard subsurface interpretation workflows and which can be used in standard G&G software packages
Strives to continuously provide process improvement, data quality enhancement, and increased exploration focus
Ensures processes are in place, including data validation to assure data accuracy
Applies technical data management principles to support studies in exploration
Initiates project reviews and audits of the data and document delivery process to ensure continual improvement
Checking team member’s data for errors, omissions and inconsistencies and then monitoring the correction
Tracking and reporting on the progress of data submissions, projects and future enhancements as needed

Requirements:
10+ years of concentrated experience in E&P software support services required
High school diploma and some college coursework required
Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
Strong experience in implementation and maintenance of electronic geoscience data systems required
Strong knowledge of the marine oil and gas industry required
Strong experience in seismic data management, archival, retrieval and manipulation required
Must have an in-depth understanding of E&P data-types, terminology and data definitions, with the ability to apply them in real-time.
Analytical ability and solid problem solving skills required
Working knowledge of geologic data management systems, technologies and techniques required
Proven proactive approach in proposing improvements to develop, deploy and deliver strategies, plans and schedules in support of the exploration information management systems and processes
Ability to communicate effectively with management, users, and project participants
