Our client in Allen, TX is looking for an Field Technician/Electrical, Electro/Electro Mechanical  skills

Hours:
Typically the workday is from 9:00am to 5:30pm, however these hours may vary. A client may require early or late access to work around production schedules.
Steel toed shoes or boots are required.

Work Environment:
The workplace varies from day to day. You may be in the comfort of the office wiring a new panel for installation in the morning, but in a hot, dirty, noisy metal forging plant in the afternoon.
Dress accordingly.

Abilities:
You must be able to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical CAD drawings.
You must be able to work safely with electrical test equipment on circuits that are powered up.
You must be able to use hand tools and power tools in a safe and effective manner.
You must be able to work safely in high places requiring a fall arrest harness as well as tight spaces and places requiring respiration masks and Tyvek suits.
Analytical thought used to observe symptoms and deduce the root cause as well as formulate asolution is critical. A calm and controlled demeanor when systems don’t operate according to plan is important.
Customer relations are paramount. You must be able to listen and communicate with the operator of the machine to understand the symptoms and ask pertinent questions, making notes for future reference. You are the face of the company so proper decorum is the rule.
Must be able to work alone or with a group of other technical personnel.
The ability to use a manual to operate and/or program an unfamiliar electronic controller is helpful.
The ability to use a computer to access technical information on the internet and to create reports is a plus.
PLC or CAD experience is a big plus but not required for this position.

Job Summary:
Service Call
Surveys are planned and scheduled ahead of time.
After gathering all the tools and supplies as well as any possible parts required we depart for the client facility
Upon filling out the paperwork attaching all the thermocouples and fixing them to the appropriate points inside the oven/furnace and setting up the datalogger, we start the machine and start recording the temperatures. We carry out the survey according to set procedures spelled out in the AMS or CQI protocol requirements.
When the procedure is complete we inform the client that we have gathered the data and will be sending the properly formatted report back by noon of the following day.
After completing the report and emailing it to the client, you save a copy of the report and all the raw
data to the proper folder on the server. Then notify AR of the completed survey so it can be invoiced.
