Frontline Source Group – temporary staffing and direct hire firm – is looking for a Financial Analyst for our Downtown Houston, TX client, for a Direct Hire opportunity.
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for the following:
Perform routine financial functions, including weekly P&L analysis, monthly accounting close, project financials, monthly budget and forecasting and actual spend.
Assist the Finance management team with the annual budgeting process.
Support the Finance department with reporting, project assistance, and ad hoc support.
Identify and research cause and effect and provide solutions to improve financial and operational performance
Perform management reporting and analysis using Excel and other financial analytical tools to translate trends and variances into meaningful feedback
Assist with building and modifying financial reports including revenue variance explanations, cost explanations, cash flow explanations, and balance sheet explanations
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
3+ years of financial analysis, consulting, or accounting experience with emphasis on quantitative and financial analysis
CFA, CPA or ability to acquire on of these certifications
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.
Must be able to anticipate the planning, information, and analysis needs of department managers and remain flexible if those needs change.
Must be diplomatic and foster a team atmosphere within Finance and with other departments.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight.
Must be a self-starter who is able to work with very little instruction
Must have extensive experiences on capital project financial modeling, budget planning and control.
