Our Phoenix, AZ client is looking for an Graphic Designer on a contract to possible hire basis.
General Responsibilities:
Controls and supports computer-aided sign making equipment, software programs and color printer
Perform layout, and production functions using desktop publishing software on the computer (current
Workload dictates 90% pure computer production, 10% actual creative design)
Able to work in the production area of the department to facilitate the finishing of graphic signage-i.e., vinyl production, mounting and trimming of digital prints.
Facilitates and maintains the use of computer ID sign equipment
Assists in answering computer graphics software questions or production issues as requested by clients.
Operates a Macintosh operating system, PC operating system, Windows NT and with proficiency in Software programs: Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), QuarkXPress, and various other operating utilities
Operates all Graphics Department printing equipment, including Inkjet and desktop printers
Work with Equipment Technician to calibrate files to output..
Flexibility with work schedule (required to change shifts and work days as business needs dictate)
Flexibility with work hours (must be able to work overtime as business needs dictate)
Ability to work under pressure
Performs other duties as assigned and deemed necessary of the position under the direction of the Graphics Department Manager, Production Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, or Lead Person
