Our Plano, TX client is looking for an Experienced HP Exstream Developer with experience in Design, Development, Implementation and Testing of Enterprise Applications using J2EE Technologies and experience with Financial and Health Care Solutions based applications. This is a direct hire position.
Essential Job Functions:
Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents highly complex programs. Develops complex test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs. Designs systems and programs to meet highly complex business needs. Helps in preparing detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded. Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation. Gathers information from existing systems, analyzes program and time requirements. Assists project manager in preparing time estimates and justification for assigned tasks. Supports project personnel in resolving fairly complex program problems. Works with client and management to resolve issues and validate programming requirements within their areas of responsibility. Provides technical advice on complex programming. May serve as technical project lead; provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel. Conducts quality assurance activities such as peer reviews. Provides consulting services in a technical and/or managerial capacity to management and technical staff. May represent company in presentations or conferences involving customers Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics or related field preferred Seven or more years of programming or testing experience. Experience working with appropriate programming languages, operating systems and software Experience working with relational databases to facilitate programming software plus 2-3 yrs working with Exstream dialogue. Experience in Electronic Document Composition technologies Proficient in JAVA, JavaScript, HTML and XML Proficient in J2EE, WSAD/WAS/RAD Working knowledge of PDF and Postscript print streams with multiple different output queues and different impositions schemes.
Requirements:
10+ years related experience preferred in computer software development, graphics production, and document composition
Experience with HP Dialogue, GMC, Group 1 or other document composition software packages
Experience working with XML, comma delimited, and other types of data files for use in data mapping, rule creation, and setting flags to create fully composed document
Familiar with JCL, Word, Excel, Oracle, SQL, & Access and VB or Java scripting
Understanding of:
File transfer process and data processing concepts that involved Unix & Mainframe computer systems
Data mining concepts and techniques for creating of data files for use in file base processing
Print, inserting, and sorting process and the use of bar-codes in a high volume production operations
Familiarity with graphic design and Mac environment desirable
