Our client in Farmers Branch, TX is seeking an HR Generalist on a contract to possible hire basis.

Detailed Description:
The HR Generalist will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of policies and programs covering several or all of the following Human Resources functions: recruiting, employee relations, compensation, benefits, workers’ compensation, training, and safety. 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Recruiting and selection for emergency medical services candidates
Oversight of drug screening program
Administers various Human Resources plans and procedures for all company personnel
Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting
Performance management and improvement systems
Employee relations
Employee orientation
FMLA administration
EEOC reporting
Workers’ compensation administration
Unemployment compensation claims management
Provides guidance to employees on Human Resources matters
Benefits coordination
Assist AP/Payroll coordinator

Requirements:
1-3 years experience in the human resources field as a generalist, with a strong emphasis on recruitment, workers’ compensation claims handling  experience
PHR/SPHR preferred
Recruiting/Staffing experience
Familiar with governmental compliance regulations/laws
Knowledge in multi-state laws
Must be willing to travel to all sites of operation as needed
Experience with acquisitions is preferred, but not required
Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong organizational skills
Have the ability to effectively interact with employees from senior management to the front-line
Possess the ability to cope with deadlines and flexible work schedule.
Possess the ability to perform accurately with numbers.
Ability to effectively listen and communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of associates
Assertive yet compassionate, progressive yet grounded in best practices
Possess exceptional planning, coordinating and project management skills for implementation of new policies and procedures – a motivated innovator
Must be a self starter that requires little direction
Show willingness to attend seminars and take classes as needed to stay abreast of current regulations, changes in the human resources field and technical changes, especially regulations involving safety measures
