Our Dallas, TX client is looking for an I/P Paralegal:

The chosen candidate will have have I/P transactional experience and have 5+ years working with patents and trademarks.  In addition duties will include:
Draft legal documents
Compile, analyze and summarize data
Perform legal research
Manage files to ensure information is organized according to standards
Perform factual and technical investigation and analysis of case issues
Assist in all phases of case preparation, including discovery and trial
Maintain generic files
Prepare for and attend nationwide trials

The chosen candidate will maintain a paralegal certificate and will have at least a bachelors degree as well as a very stable work history.

The Trademark Paralegal is responsible for monitoring trademark dockets for US/Foreign filing (e.g., requesting/receiving filing instructions from the client to finalize documents for client/attorney/agent review and provide/file required documents, such as through the USPTO Electronic filing system).
Should have experience with coordinating with foreign counsel with foreign national filings and preparing required and requested documents.
Must have experience with preliminary trademark clearance using the USPTO database, preparation and filing of trademark applications, preparation of correspondence regarding Office Actions, preparation of draft responses to Office Actions, Statements of Use, and Renewals
Must have a working knowledge of U.S. Trademark rules, processes and procedures and able to do legal research within the TMEP and CFR
Able to fully utilize, search, and research information using the following websites – USPTO, WIPO, Espace.net, and other trademark online resources. Experience with CT Corsearch and/or Saegispreferred.
Must be highly motivated and possess excellent analytical and attention to detail skills.
Should feel comfortable providing general transactional and/or TTAB/UDRP dispute support to attorneys
Must be able to work independently with the ability to multitask and work well with others in a team environment with staff, agents, and attorneys.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and with a variety of work styles
5+ years paralegal experience preferred.  A paralegal certificate or currently enrolled in a recognized paralegal program and/or college degree required.
Proficiency with PATTSY, IP Master, Word, and Excel.  Perform other related duties as assigned.
