Our The Woodlands, TX client is in need of an IT Specialist for their corporate office.
The IT Support position will assist with management of computer hardware, software and connectivity in both data and voice networks to achieve high availability. Diagnose, resolve, and document hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion ensuring minimal downtime. Provide end user assistance, training and support where required which may include monitoring the IT Helpline. Participation is focused on supporting the end user.
The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of directly related experience.
Assist in the administration and maintenance of the company’s infrastructure, and directs contractor when necessary.
Assist in the administration of the company’s local area network, wide area network, and wireless network. Including all wireless point to point and fiber optic connections.
Assists in configuring and installing all network equipment.
Assists in troubleshooting all mission critical applications.
Assist for all IP address assignments and dynamically assigned pools for workstations.
Assist in managing the company’s telephone system, call manager application, Conference Bridge and paging system
Assist with telephone station adds moves, and changes. Including coordinating addition/replacement of handsets.
Assist with telephone system programming changes and troubleshooting.
Assist in structured telephony cabling infrastructure including adds moves and changes.
Assist in troubleshooting the networking side of the VoIP phone system.
Assist with all Faxing, Copying, and Scanning installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting if necessary of all copiers/scanners at all regional offices.
Workstation Maintenance – 25%
Assist with administration and maintenance of computer stations and software.
Help with deployment and replacement of workstations.
Assist with additions, moves and changes.
Supports all workstation related device installation.
Responsible for applying necessary patches for Windows XP operating system.
Performs daily system monitoring, verifying integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, and system processes.
Assist contractor team to coordinate implementation of internal hardware/software.
Assist with Conference room setup and tear down, including A/V troubleshooting and maintenance.
Responsible for organization of server room.
Responsible for labeling network devices with relevant information(IP Address etc)
Support Active Directory user additions, moves, and changes.
Help Desk Administration-40%
Aid in all company wide help desk activities.
Responsible for monitoring helpdesk mailbox and ticketing system.
Has the ability to escalate help desk issues to contractor if wide spread issue is found.
Interacts with internal user on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner.
Assist in troubleshooting any mobile device, including Laptop, Blackberry, iPhone, iPad, Android or others.
Ensure that all equipment is tagged with a property tag.
Make sure assets are documented properly
