Our Austin, TX client is looking for a J2EE Java Developer to join their team on a minimum two year contract.
Role & Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining and enhancing enterprise application systems
Will design, develop, enhance, debug and implement unit testing enterprise-level software
Individual will troubleshoot production problems related to software applications and their databases
Will research, test, build and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements
Will design and develop new software products or enhancements to existing software
Will perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects
Individual will solve any issues associated with the software
Technical Skills/Job Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology/Computer Science
Minimum 5 years dedicated J2EE/Java programming experience with strong design and development skills of multi tier web based applications using Weblogic Application Server 10.0 11gR1 or higher
Experience using Struts, JSF, Myfaces 1.2.3., JSP, EJB 3.0, Servlets, JDBC, JNDI, XML, LDAP, Web Services (SOAP, WSDL, UDDI) Java script, log4j, etc. Experience with IDE such as Eclipse, Rational tools, Spring Framework and tools such as Hibernate or JPA are a plus
Minimum 5 years development experience using Oracle 10g/11g to include: stored procedures, PL/SQL Functions, Triggers, Views, SQL and SQL scripts
Experience in debugging production issues and providing direction to the team
Minimum 5 years experience resolving software system problems
Minimum 5 years experience researching and documenting program solutions/systems
Requires strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and full life cycle incremental and iterative development
Agile development environment
Strong writing and oral communication skills
