Frontline Source Group – temporary staffing and direct hire firm – is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor for our Arlington, TX client on a direct hire basis.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for leading a group of manufacturing engineers and programmers which support the manufacturing team. This position will primarily involve the coordination of process improvement, CNC programming, process planning and tool and fixture design in a metal cutting and assembly environment. Participate in or lead capital investments and continuous improvement projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Make improvements to existing processes and investigate and utilize new technologies and processes where appropriate. Justify and implement capital projects
Coordinate the following: designs cell layouts, utilizing lean manufacturing principles, ergonomics and flow analysis
Liaison with the manufacturing operations to minimize and resolve issues / delays with regards to programming, tooling etc.
Manage individual and departmental projects effectively utilizing Lean Engineering principles
Work closely with Design Engineering to improve quality of engineering output to shop and decreasing Time to Market
Coordinate the flow of Engineering projects from engineering release to release to manufacturing

Education: Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 5 – 10 years related experience
CNC Machine Manufacturing a plus
Automation experience a plus
Computer Skills: Microsoft Suite, Movex, ProE, Mastercam, AutoCAD
