Our Houston, TX client, located in the Medical Center, is looking for an experienced Medical Billing Manager.
Ideal candidate should have knowledge of patient accounts which includes collections, insurance regulations and reimbursement techniques of third party payers, Medicare, physician billing and pricing. Requires strong etiquette and must maintain a high level of professionalism. Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and critical thinking. Ability to multi-task and work as a team player. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Accurate data entry skills are required. Any appropriate combination of education, certifications, and/or relevant work experience will be considered.
Must have at least 5 years of medical billing and collections experience.
Prefer experience in Colorectal Surgical setting, Gastroenterology, or surgery billing experience.
Knowledge of CPT-4, HCPCS, and ICD-9 coding and HIPAA requirements.
Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills required.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual (Spanish) is desirable.
Flexibility, teamwork, and high organizational skills are necessary skills for this position.
Able to back up other business office functions as directed by manager based on department needs.
