Our Weatherford, TX client is seeking a Medical Claims Specialist on a contract to possible hire basis.
Job Responsibilities:
Contact providers to obtain information and/or documents on unpaid claims
Analyze, resolve and resubmit rejected/unpaid claims for payment
Responsible for sending letters to carriers for payments of oustanding claims
Interact with third party representatives, utilize online sites to review status and update acounts as needed
Obtain necessary documentation (updated medical order, clinical notes, patient agreement, etc.) and submit to insurance carrier for continued coverage dtermination
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in medical claims/collections
Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid and third party commercial insurance companies
Knowledge of CPT, ICD 9 codes and modifiers
Process experience working HMO, PPO and commercial healthcare claims
Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills
Must work well independently in an organized manner in order to meet deadlines
