Our Mesa, Arizona client is seeking a professional, medical billing/collections individual.

Major Job Duties:
The main focus will be to prioritize and work through the list of outstanding receivables to maximize collecting revenue. The outstanding receivables are from three areas: 1) Insurance Claims, 2) Patient Balances, 3) Patient Payment Plans
Most importantly – understand/determine why the claim hasn’t been paid (the root cause) and recommend a corrective action(s) to prevent similar unpaid claims in the future. (new processes or changes to current processes etc)
Develop a status/tracking system to address status of each claim and corresponding follow-up actions
Report status of collection efforts, root causes and corrective actions weekly
Become familiar with AdvancedMD to be able to use the system in refiling claims, tracking, statusing progress. May require working with AdvancedMD rep to accomplish this goal.
Work with minimal supervision but engage other team members as necessary to accomplish the above.
Support other assignments as directed, if time permits. One example: the authorized billing amounts for each insurance company needs entered into AdvancedMD to enable check of payments received vs contracted authorized payments. There may be others as time permits.
Requirements:
AdvancedMD software a plus
Medical billing/collections experience (3+ years)
Excellent communication skills
Computer literate
Ability to multi-task
Must be flexible with time and willing to work hard in a fast paced environment
