Our Nashville client is looking for a Mortgage Loan Originator (Mortgage Loan Officer)
SUMMARY:
Originates residential mortgage loans in accordance with secondary market guidelines by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Possess knowledge of conventional, FHA, and VA mortgages, including knowledge of regulatory and compliance criteria, and awareness of deadlines
Possess knowledge of secondary market loan products
Capable of developing and implementing a marketing strategy to capture new clients and increase referral base
Possess established relationships with local real estate agents
Capable of initiating and completing a mortgage loan applications
Capable of monitoring loans and assisting loan processors in completing loan files for approval
Capable of working on a commission-based income
QUALIFICATIONS:
The individual must possess a demonstrated skill in establishing work priorities, organizing work and meeting deadlines.
This individual must be capable of working under time constraints and handling a variety of duties.
The individual must also attain the technical knowledge and proficient utilization of the bank’s mortgage lending software programs.
The individual must be personable and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
The individual must be responsive and sensitive to the needs and concerns of the borrower.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field
Three years of experience in mortgage lending is a MUST
Must already have an established pipe-line and contacts with realtors with whom they conduct business regularly
