Our Plano, TX client is looking for a Mortgage Loan Processor on a contract to possible hire basis.
Job Purpose:
Assist loan production by collecting required documentation for mortgage loan applications; coordinate vendors used in the mortgage process; submit loans to investors or company loan committee for loan decision; resolves loans to final action taken and hand off to closing function.
Duties:
Assist loan originators by coordinating the vendor and applicant documents needed for loan submission to underwriting
Meet mortgage loan operational standards by producing quality customer service and resolve problems
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications
Understand and follow compliance requirements applicable to state and federal regulations
Executes completion of mortgage loan documentation based on automated underwriting feedback, company underwriting policies and/or investor policies
Tasks as may be assigned by management
Requirements:
Bachelors or Associates degree preferred
5+ years of mortgage experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, working knowledge of Encompass is a plus
Promote company by answering phones with courtesy and responsiveness
Review loan applications within twenty-four (24) hours of receipt by loan originators or management for completeness utilizing the Processing Set Up Checklist
Order documentation on the loan file based on notes from the loan originator and AUS feedback
Record in the LOS system all documentation ordered for the loan file and the expected date of receipt
Process all incoming documents and follow up on all missing items within three (3) to five (5) business days of being ordered per the loan pipeline
Prepare, edit and proofread the loan submission package for underwriting with a goal of receiving an approval subject to minimal conditions
Communicate with investor and loan originator and borrower(s) on all outstanding items needed for final approval
Prepare adverse action notices based on direction provided by loan originator and underwriting
