Our client in Plano, TX Is looking for a Mortgage Accountant. The selected candidate will have the following skill set:
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, learn and adapt quickly and be self motivated. They should be able to work in a fast-paced environment. General accountant duties will include journal entries, reconciliations, data imports, and working with large amounts of data in Excel. This position will report to the CFO.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
GL Reconcilement
Bank Account reconcilements
Mortgage accounting for origination and sales
Ability to present data to an executive management in a clear, concise and meaningful manner
Cross-function with other departments to resolve issues
Maintain all AP reports, spreadsheets, and corporate accounts
Journal entries
Preparing trial balances
Preparation of the P&L
Handle a high volume of daily loan volume imports into the Accounting Software Program
Assist with a veriety of GL tasks including analysis, general journal entries
Loan reconcilements
Assist with monthly financial close
Knowledge & Skills:
Advance bank operation knowledge
Understanding of the whole mortgage process
AMB Software experience
Strong Analytical skills
Education & Work Experience:
4 to 8 years of bank operations experience
Associate or Bachelors degree
