Our Dallas, TX client is seeking full-time, contract to possible hire Network Administrator who will strive to build valuable long-term relationships with small businesses and healthcare practices in DFW.  The company consultants employ new technologies and implement proactive network-management methodologies to help their clients improve productivity and grow.  The core products include IT project management and implementation, managed services, time and materials on-demand support, and support for medical/dental environments.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Learn clients’ businesses and how technology facilitates (or interrupts) realization of their business objectives.
Proactively manage clients’ networks using company methodologies.
Evaluate, recommend and implement new hardware and software technologies as needed to improve customers’ businesses, or to create efficiencies in company operations.
Provide on-call and reactive support services as requested by clients.
Document network environments and the details of your efforts to support them.

Required Technical Skills (installing, configuring, and troubleshooting):
Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, W7
Microsoft Server 2003/2008
Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007/2010
Microsoft Small Business Server 2003/2008/2011
Active Directory
Firewall rule configuration and management (WatchGuard, Cisco, SonicWall)
Kaseya, N-Able, Level Platforms, Zenith, Silverback, or other “Managed Services” management systems
TCP/IP network routing, communications ports (port-forwarding), and configuring hardware firewall rules as well as VPNs and VLANs.
Understanding, documenting and diagramming various network topologies and network infrastructure configurations (wiring, switching, & routing)
Domain-name registration and modification, authoritative DNS host changes
DNS record types, modifying records and migrating domains and/or DNS hosts
Configuring and troubleshooting network printing and scanning via TCP/IP
Understanding and developing strategies for data protection via data backups and business-continuance planning for disaster-recovery situations
Working with technical-support services to develop solutions to problems with various products’ support departments, including ISPs and hardware & software manufacturers
Virtualization with VMWare and Hyper-V
Possess at least 3 years direct experience with installing, managing and support the above mentioned infrastructure
