Frontline Source Group – temporary staffing and direct hire firm – is looking for a Network Engineer for our Dallas, TX client on a contract to possible hire basis.
Responsibilities:
Provide highest level of network support and problem resolution on complex issues within established SLAs.
Manage small to medium-sized projects or portions of large projects and assist in resolving issues and planning for new applications and services.
Identify and recommend opportunities to improve and enhance communication services to customers.
Work with Network Team on the Development the overall network strategy, design, upgrades, deployment, retirement and troubleshooting of components that make enterprise network infrastructure.
Work closely with technology departments to ensure highest network uptime and application support, as well as various business units to develop secure, functional enterprise network solutions.
Participate in developing guidelines and procedures for Security, WANs, LANs, network services, and security services.
Responsible for network communication equipment such as Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Load Balancers.
Act as a liaison between the business and Telco/Network carriers related to design activities.
Perform traffic analysis and capacity analysis of network systems.
Responsible for complex engineering and analytical tasks and activities. Recommend and document changes to system configurations through change management process.
Participate as a department resource for all network related projects.
Responsible for architecting new integrations and deployments in order to standardize network technologies.
Documentation of network systems, implementation plans, documentation for level1/2 support team.
Requirements:
Networking expert, MCSA, MCSE CCIE equivalent preferred.
6 years of technical experience in an network engineering and support environment.
Extensive network engineering, network design, management and troubleshooting experience.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft, VMware, Citrix and related technologies.
Advanced knowledge of Juniper Firewalls, Routers, Switches and related technologies.
Strong understanding of networking/telephony technologies: Switching, IP Routing, IP Subnetting, TCP/IP protocol, VPN’s, DNS, Router/Firewall ACL’s, VLANs, WLANs, NAT, VoIP platforms.
Proficient in WAN circuitry for both Data and Voice Designs.
Proven experience with Network monitoring/logging//alert systems.
Ability to complete multiple complex and high priority projects and initiatives within scope, budget and timeline.
Complex problem solving abilities with experience in performing root cause analysis.
Strong interpersonal, oral, visual and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively communicate highly technical options/solutions to audiences of widely varying skill levels.
Ability to work within a customer oriented, positive team environment.
