Our Northwest Houston, TX client is in need of an Operations Superintendent for a Direct Hire Opportunity.

Summary:
Develop and Manage US operations and projects. Manage personnel responsible for the daily operational aspects of the company’s operations, primarily but not exclusively in respect of the handling, transfer, storage and treatment of drilling and associated rig and production wastes and to ensure that equipment and services are delivered safely, on-time, to budget and to the required standard.

Requirements:
5 or more years of experience in a Management Role
MUST have Operations experience as well, preferably in Oil and Gas
Drill site experience is also a huge plus for this position
Bachelors degree preferred, but not required

Duties:
Manager Specific Project operations:
Overall control of the daily management of Project operations in conjunction with the Management Team.
Plan operations within the Operations Department; liaise with management team regularly with regard to work scope and program.
Liaise with other managers ensuring an efficient level of service is maintained throughout the company’s operations, both internally and externally.
Organize regular client meetings to ensure an efficient level of communication is provided.
Regularly monitor and report on the company’s operational performance and initiate appropriate action where necessary.
Ensure good operating practices by all employees through effective communication and training.
Project scheduling – ensure proper scheduling of personnel, equipment and sub-contractors to ensure project completion.
Equipment/service procurement – identifying suitable specialist products/services and arrange their procurement using company procedure.

Manager the operations personnel function of the business:
Overall control of Project Specific Field Operations personnel, including operations personnel working onshore, offshore and abroad as required.
Plan daily requirements with operations support team, Project Managers, Project Engineers and company management team.  Liaise with management team regularly with regard to work scope and program.
Liaise with other managers ensuring an efficient level of service is maintained throughout the company’s operations, both internally and externally.
Regularly monitor the company’s operational performance and initiate appropriate action where necessary.
Ensure good operating practices by all employees through effective communication and training.
Project scheduling – scheduling personnel and sub-contractors to ensure project completion.
Liaise with HR Department to ensure that all personnel have up to date authorizations as required.
Liaise with HSEQ Department to ensure all personnel have up to date competency assessments, certificates and training.
Liaise with Travel and Logistics Coordinator to ensure all necessary travel arrangements for operations personnel to and from locations.
Authorize all timesheets and expense forms submitted by relevant operations staff, ensuring the information logged is accurate before submitting to Finance.
Prepare invoice backup information and input data into invoicing software.
Support Finance department with monthly invoicing as and when required.

Contribute to the development of the business:
Maintain and participate in meetings with clients regarding all aspects of the work scope from initial planning through to close out.
Assist sales department with equipment selection and method for tender and commercial packages ensuring maximum impact is achieved relative to the services we can offer.
Market the company’s service through effective communications with clients, potential clients and personnel.
Assist as required with the preparation of tenders.
Actively take part in and assist as required in the overall development of the company and its employees both domestically and internationally.

Management of personnel:
Provide support and regularly communicate with subordinate staff both formally and informally as required to ensure highest level of operations are achieved and expectations are understood.
Determine adequate manning levels for your areas of responsibility to meet the needs of the business.
Set performance targets for all processes and personnel for which you are responsible.
Liaise with HR Department for all recruitment and selection requirements.
Liaise with HSEQ and HR Departments to plan training for subordinate staff to enable effective performance and ensure their personal development is continued in order to meet the changes in the business.

Complying with Procedures:
Ensure all operations comply with the Company and Client operating policies and procedures.
Ensure all operations comply with the Company Health and Safety policy as defined in the Company Handbook.
Be aware of company conditions of employment as detailed in the Employee Handbook.
Liaise with HR Department to assure compliance with current employee law legislation.
Keep up to date with other current legislation, legal requirements and regulations that apply to the company.
