Our West Houston, TX client is looking to hire a Paralegal on a contract to hire basis.
Requirements:
Prefers 1-3 years minimum of experience as a paralegal but will consider recently certified paralegals with knowledge of petitions, discovery and motions.
Collection or personal injury litigation experience highly preferred
Must be very professional and personable
Able to handle multiple projects and deadlines, working with client to respond to prepare drafts of petitions, Requests and Responses to Disclosure; Answers, Motions for Default and Summary Judgment, discovery documentation including Requests for Admissions, Interrogatories and Motions for Production, Responses, including the organization and production of documents, assimilation of trial and motion notebook, ability to read and summarize key points of depositions
Great organizational skills
Must be detail-oriented
Must be proactive in follow up
Ability to work in fast paced, entrepreneurial environment is required
Must be able to work independently because the attorney works remotely from out of the state most of the time
