Our client in Port Neches, TX is seeking a Process Engineer to join their team on a Direct Hire basis.
This is an opportunity to join a global, well-established company that is looking to grow their current team. The ideal candidate will be a degreed Chemical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a chemical/refinery environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage projects to improve the overall productivity and profitability of operating units
Conduct process scope development for capital projects (justifications, conceptual design, etc.) Review proposed capital work for technical feasibility and operability.
Improve plant safety while eliminating environmental releases and operability by participating in and leading incident investigations
Manage process or capital improvements that will increase production, reduce energy usage, optimize unit economics, reduce operating costs, and reduce by-products/off-spec production.
Provide technical support to Operation and Maintenance Groups and assist in the resolution of unit process issue
Participate in Process Safety Management, including HAZOP, PSSR, etc. and in the Behavior Based Safety Program.
Support the development of unit operating procedures and standard operation conditions.
Ensure compliance with all corporate procedures and guidelines. Make sure that annual required training is completed in a timely fashion.
Participate in Six Sigma Process
Requirements:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
5-7+ years of specific experience
Chemical company/Refinery Plant experience is required
Must live in or around Port Neches area or be willing to consider relocating (Relo package available)
