Our Uptown Dallas, TX client is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join their team on a Direct Hire basis.
Responsibilities:
Perform the revenue distribution process of entering check detail into system for Operated and Non-operated properties
Perform monthly revenue distribution entry into Excalibur for Non-operated and operated properties
Verify check detail for sales volumes, price, gross, taxes and revenue deducts
Audit and verify check detail against distribution reports to ensure payment is correct
Prepare severance tax reports for various states, state royalty reports and Minerals Management reports
Assist in recording prior period adjustments for demand letters, payout related matters and other general corrections
Perform GL account reconciliations for AR clearing and AR accruals
Report monthly revenue operational statistics using Excel pivot tables
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
3-5 years minimum experience as a Revenue Accountant
Oil + Gas + Liquid/Products experience
Experience in operated and non-operated wells
At least 1 year experience in New Mexico wells and ONRR/MMS
Excalibur software experience – strongly preferred but not a requirement
They need to feel very confident with reconciliations and taxes payable
Exceptional organizational skills required
Extremely strong knowledge of reconciliations and taxes payable
Ability to meet designated deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
