Our South Houston, TX client is in need of a Safety Director.

Summary:
Applicants must have pipeline construction experience will be considered for this position. NCCER certifications are also desired, but not required.

Job Description:
Manage company Health, Safety and Environmental program
Analyzes and interprets federal, state, and local environmental requirements for developing procedures based on regulatory and client requirements
Manage customer specific safety programs and ensure field team has successfully completed objectives
Manager company safety policy and reward program.
Presents information and responds to questions from managers, clients, customer representatives, regulatory agencies, and vendors
Supervises and coordinates the work of other safety personnel to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Completes supporting projects as assigned
Leads by example

Qualifications:
7-10 years of applicable oil and gas industry experience (with at least part of that experience in pipeline construction). Previous experience as an Operator will be counted, but must have a strong Safety background as well.
Advanced knowledge of NCCER regulations.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents such as financial reports and/or legal documents
Ability to respond to common inquiries/complaints from managers, customers, and regulatory agencies
Ability to write reports, articles, speeches, procedure manuals, and other business correspondence
Ability to drive change
Ability to present information to management, the public, or board of directors
Proven leadership ability
Advanced knowledge of federal and local HSE regulations, OSHA recordkeeping regulations, and DOT regulations
