Our Austin, TX client is looking for a Software Developer Lead to join there team on a direct hire basis.
Role & Responsibilities:
Design/ Architect/ Implement various solutions arising out of large data processing (GB’s/ PB’s) over various NoSQL and Hadoop based products
Driving various Architecture and design discussions with big data clients
Working with remote team and providing guidance on implementation details
Responsible for timely and quality deliveries
Fulfill organization responsibilities – Sharing knowledge and experience within the other groups in the organization and conducting various technical sessions and training
Technical Skills:
Working knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Cassandra, MongoDB, CouchDB, Neo4j, NoSQL
Good working knowledge of Spring Framework and/or Hibernate
Grails, Groovy Scripting/GSP
Good working knowledge of Java/J2EE
Source version control (Subversion)
Good written and verbal skills
Able to work independently in a complex, dynamic environment
Agile development environment
Experience working in a fast paced environment a plus
Experience working with Groovy/Grails a plus
5 + years developing Enterprise applications using Web 2.0 technologies
3+ years leading the effort for releasing large scale software solutions
Design/ Architected and implemented complex projects dealing with the considerable data size (GB/ PB) and with high complexity
