Frontline Source Group – temporary staffing and direct hire firm – is looking for a Sr. Java Developer for our Southlake, TX client on a contract basis.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs, develops, tests and debugs moderately complex software solutions using routine and/or advanced technologies
Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them
Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements
Takes part in researching best practices, new tools and technology.
May design and build prototype applications
May assist in development of software technical documentation
Commitment to achieving projects goals and orientation to improve quality
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years related experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
‘Must have’ skills:
5+ years of relevant professional experience as Java Developer
Excellent J2EE programming skills
Experience in XML/Web Services, JMS technologies
Expert knowledge in Java Core Multithread
Good knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems
Experience in JUnit/Unit Testing
Experience in monitoring and improving performance of applications
Experience with Spring framework
Good communication skills
Ability to think outside the box
Very good interpersonal skills
Demonstrate initiative and creativity
Willing to develop and learn new areas/technologies
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
‘Nice to have’ skills:
Experience in Agile Development
Experience with JBoss application server
Positive attitude and good sense of humor would be a plus
