Our Downtown Houston, TX client is in need of a Sr. Reservoir Engineer for a Direct Hire opportunity.
Major Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be a goal-oriented professional who can manage multiple projects simultaneously, work well within a team, and possess strong communication skills. A solid understanding of practical and technical principles within reservoir engineering – including field optimization, reservoir performance analysis, development planning, forecasting production, and reserve evaluation.
Primary responsibilities include:
Gather reservoir data, performs analyses and calculations, and applies models to characterize reservoir or field properties
Perform economic evaluations, field evaluation, field development planning, decline curve analysis
Manage and optimize producing assets from a Reservoir perspective
Develop reservoir performance predictions. Prepare estimates of in-place hydrocarbon volume
Perform surveillance, analysis and make recommendations on subsurface engineering required for proper
Support reservoir and production due diligence on potential farm-ins and acquisitions
Prepare written reports of reservoir performance, explaining and presenting results
Produce reserve estimates to support audits
Update year-end SEC reserves survey
Risk mitigation
Mentoring / advisory capacity for inexperienced reservoir engineering staff
Additional duties as required
Job Requirements:
BS in Petroleum Engineering or other Engineering degree
7-10 years of related experience
Experience with unconventional resources and/or reservoir simulation is a plus
MS Office suite; production and pressure analysis tools; risk analysis tools and techniques; and forecasting and economic analysis tools
Professional presentation and strong communication skills
